To coincide with the Olympics, each participating country was allocated an area of London to showcase their country. Victorinox was chosen to appear in the Swiss area, situated near to Tower Bridge.
We were asked to create a website, with an accompanying App for staff within the Swiss area. Members of the public were then encouraged to create a custom design, which would be etched onto a penknife – free of charge. The only ‘catch’ was that penknife would be only created when they attended the Victorinox store near Bond St.
Interpretation of Brief
The product will need to:-
- Work online & on a tablet
- Send the custom design to the etching company at Bond St.
- Be simple to use – especially on the iPad
- Contain custom designs & preset artwork
Sitemap & Wireframes
We created a similar workflow for both the online website & iPad version. This would allow members of the public to easily create designs on either. We encouraged users to create custom designs, but constrained graphics & text, to ensure that cohesive designs could be created – without swamping users with too many options.
